Like that pretty brown my son is holding up there, sometimes I bite off a little more than I can chew. So this blog thing is gonna have to wait a little longer. I've got lots of stories, ideas, and content and hopefully I can start spitting it out here soon. Glad that brown didn't spit that fly out, sure is a pretty one.

If you have hung out with me any at all since around 2012 then you’ve probably hung out with Joey :) I knocked out this little 12x12 painting of my favorite little fellow for the upcoming Greenville Open Studios 12x12 exhibit at the Metropolita
Finished this painting in memory of sweet little CJ early this month and I keep forgetting to post her. Sweet little girl.
I’m just living my (Chinese) checkered life. Chinese Checker Board - check - well almost.

Probably not the most “politically correct” name for a game - but it was fun just the same and it brings back fond memories of playing games
Life can be a Bundle of Puzzles. Or, in this case, an Old Wooden Box-Full of them. And Pappaw always seemed to have one going on his card table. Methodical Patience. Trial and Error. Stick-to-it-ness. Keen Observation. A Fresh Look. He always finishe
“S” is for Shackleford… as in Henry L (Leon) and Lottie Mae….aka Pappaw & Mammaw - wish I had been wiser in my youth and talked to them more… asked them questions… listened to their answers. Written things
Today is my Dear Old Dad’s Birthday. I think he would have been 91 or so - I lose count and don’t remember years and numbers too well - happy Birthday Rev Robert L Ramsey - the man of many names. Brother Bob. My uncle called him Bobby Lee
Mammaw in the Making - an early mornings work. Now on to the billable stuff :)
I still got my head in the game. Well at least these games. Plastic Caroms. Little Dice. Parcheesi Pawns. A Marble and Checker or two (In progress)
Love my hip little tattoo trout from @crookedcreekholler in their little swirly-fishy frame job -
Man! I hope I can finish this painting ONE day - errr - I mean UNO day :)
Man! I kinda got “Rooked” on this painting. My parents and kinfolks loved to play Rook and drink pots of coffee while doing it. And laugh a whole lot. Us young-uns played Crazy 8’s - Slap Jack, War and Go Fish and drank Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola… It’s the Real Thing. Well one of those is the real thing, the rest of them are my painting of the real thing. Pretty close… but not the Real Thing.
Well I got real excited about these still life paintings a while back - a real while back - I am still excited about them - but I got a little side tracked - with paying jobs - go figure - buts it time to get them going - planning on spending the nex
Just a few progress details of previous post - might post a few more of these here and there.
Haven’t posted in a while. Kinda been busy with a bunch of fun freelance design stuff the last few months BUT I have had this one in the works. Another surprise commission for someone so i was not able to post any progress images along the way.
Post #2 of North Georgia trout fishing - Monday we hiked way up Coleman River and then over to the headwaters of the “hooch” and today we spend the morning at Smithgall Woods - making some memories.
Took a little 3 day jaunt back down to North Georgia for some trout fishing with my Lil G. @itsolgreggg Fished with @d_mcm at @rivers_edge_on_the_soque on Tuesday - had a blast fighting some big old rainbows - we won a few and they one a few. I will
Come by and see me at Downtown Alive tonight! I’m not with the band.
Been watching JULIA (as in Child) on HBO lately and really love it - that led to a documentary of the same name and then introduced me to the world of Jacques Pepin - wish I could talk like him - love his cooking videos - so I tried a little Chicken
Here’s a little portrait I finished a couple weeks ago of Sweet Lil’ Oliver. What a cutie pie. Love the fun colors in this one.
